Human Resources Assistant

General Purpose: Assist with the administration resources policies and procedures that cover many functional areas. Assist with the processing of paperwork according to established procedures for the Human Resources department and be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures. Performs a variety of tasks in order to assist the Human Resources Director in maintaining an efficient and compliant Human Resources Department, while always keeping all employee information confidential. Duties include are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities
Assists HR Generalist with conducting new hire orientation.
Print out new hire packets day before.
Make sure paperwork is signed.
Ensures that all legal documents are completed.
Enter new hires into database and payroll system.
Get copies of documents as necessary
Create new hire files.
File for new hire paperwork
Red file for medical and personal information
Application

Copy of driver license and SS Card

Applicant Screening.
Review application for phone numbers and referral sources
Review employment history for length of time with each employer
Maintain Applicant Tracking
Scheduling Interviews
Take notes of what will be showing up on background checks
Compare notes once background checks come in

Participating in HR Orientation
Maintains employee information in payroll and in the database.
Entry and Filing of Time off Requests
Keep Personnel and Medical files updated at all times.
Using New Hire Checklist and Termination Checklist accordingly.
Paylocity Timesheet reporting
Enter new employees from each facility Nationwide into Paylocity
Enters employees in hand punch timekeeping system
Review daily reports to ensure that employees are appropriately clocking in and out through the hand punch
Assist each facility Nationwide in time keeping issues
Reviews timesheets, and timecards for completeness.
Interview employees to discuss hours worked and pay adjustments to be made and be designated.

Perform special projects on an as needed basis.
Report any ideas for efficiency and continuous improvement to Supervisors.
Perform tasks while putting safety first.
Maintains the cost center daily and oversees the other facilities cost center.

High School or equivalent

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
